Year of Projects - Weeks 21 and 22

Good morning!  I missed last week...just could not be bothered to go on the computer....We had a ton of rain fall last night between 1 and 4, yes, I was up...I was reading....

Not worked on much this week...it was an exhausting week at school...we had a huge grade-wide project....our second graders ran a restaurant on Friday...
That person, third from left, is the brainchild.  My friend, Deirdre, she has been doing it for many years...with an interruption of several years.  So she was very excited to do it again this year and it was a huge success...I'm a team player....it is not my thing..and I'm glad it is over...until next year....(those are her three children...and a friend....)

So we have three weeks of school left....my school has to go back an extra day, as our boiler blew in the winter and we were out for a day....I booked my tickets to Norway!!!!!!  Yeah!!!!!!!

What else have I done?  It was too muggy to work on Owligan this week...yesterday, I pulled out my Kai-Mei socks....
And where I finished with them....
Yes, that is less than what I started with...I didn't know where I was in the pattern, so ripped back to the heel flap....I'm almost back to where I was yesterday....

That's about it!  Talk to you guys later in the week.....

Sounds like an interesting project. I worked with a group of 3 5th graders on their exhibition project about recycling. Our 5th, 8th and 10th graders are the only grade levels that do exhibitions while the rest do assembly programs. Anyways, I'm done with school, a week early -- something that went down last week that kinda through a wrench in the end of the year. Oh well! Works for me. And since I'm not going back next year, I'm free, free, free. Woohoo! Norway ... awesome! Best wishes, Tammy
